CAMELS IN AMERICA
Members of the Camels posse have just returned from
the USA for the premiere of BRA BOYS documentary.
"Bra
Boys", the highest grossing
Australian documentary ever, is about Maroubra's surf
& street culture, premiered in Los Angeles on Monday
7th April 2008.
The film features 3 new tracks from The
Camels: Times We Had
& Too Far Gone
which are on "The Romance
EP"; plus the very unique Causing
Trouble.
The Camels' singer & songwriter, Jamie
Holt, has written 18 original pieces of music for the
documentary, including the standout theme song, My
Brothers' Keeper,
an eerie & haunting masterpiece tailored
perfectly to the film's tone. Jamie also wrote for and
produced tracks of the Bra Boys' own hip-hop act 3Seven7,
also featured in the film.
Jamie extended his songwriting far beyond
the realm of the pop/rock compositions he's been known
for to date. This is his first venture of its kind,
and with the interest the music has already generated,
it certainly wont be his last!
